Stem Cell Treatment Innovations
Many clinics offering Stem Cell Therapy, or Regenerative Medicine, are using cord blood or the patient’s bone marrow. The Stem Cell Therapy treatment option at LKO is different because it is minimally invasive and contains an estimated 1.1 Million mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs). MSCs are the primitive cells that have the ability to turn into a specific type of cell, such as bone or cartilage.
Studies have shown that cord blood does not contain mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs), limiting the healing potential of the treatment.
As we age, the reparative mechanisms of our cells are often no longer as effective, therefore, obtaining MSCs from a biologically young source instead of the patient’s own bone marrow, means that the stem cell therapy at LKO has the potential to be more successful. And this treatment applies to many conditions.
- Sports Injuries
- Stress Fractures
- Damaged or Deteriorating Cartilage
- Joint Pain
- Acute Ligament & Muscle Injuries
