Hiking the Appalachian Trail, a Torn Meniscus and Total Knee Replacement
An Interview with Terri Shaver
Above you get to click the Play button and listen to a conversation between Mary Elliott from X10 and Terri Shaver a recent X10 total knee replacement patient. Terri was super active in our private X10 Companion group on Facebook, sharing some delightful images that you can see below. Her enthusiasm was so clear we wanted to hear Terri’s story first-hand. And wow were we glad we did.
In the interview above Terri describes her surgery, how she overcame problems with nausea and how the X10 Knee Recovery System™ helped her quickly recover after surgery.

About Terri: “I am a retired RN. Worked 23 years in various critical care areas. Married 39 years, 4 children, 6 grandchildren. I have had Systemic Lupus since 1989 and degenerative arthritis/osteoarthritis since about 2000, due to prolonged steroid use for Lupus.”
Dr. Jason Cochran did the torn meniscus and total knee replacement surgery work for Terri. Dr. Cochran has been prescribing X10 for his patients for a number of years.
The X10 Meta-Blog
We call it a “Meta-Blog” because we step back and give you a broad perspective on all aspects of knee health. We explore surgery and recovery and such subjects as ‘Torn Meniscus and Total Knee Replacement’.
This is a one-of-a-kind blog. We gather together great thinkers, doers, and writers. And it is all related to Knee Surgery, Recovery, Preparation, Care, Success and Failure. Meet physical therapists, coaches, surgeons, and patients. And as many smart people as we can gather to create useful articles for you. You may have a surgery upcoming. Or in the rear-view mirror. Or maybe you just want to take care of your knees to avoid surgery. In all cases you should find some value here. Executive Editor: PJ Ewing (info@x10therapy.com)
