Pat Brown, shares his knee recovery experience after surgery. Pat, who retired in 2013, underwent knee surgery to be able to play with his grandchildren. He learned about the X10 machine from a friend and contacted Mary to see if he was a candidate. Mary assisted with insurance and coordination for the delivery and in-house physical therapy. Pat praised the X10 machine, noting that it gave him an advantage over a regular physical therapist. He even recommended it to his neighbor and brother who are also undergoing knee surgery. Pat described his recovery as better than expected and emphasized the importance of exercising and using the X10 machine regularly.
We were very pleased with the significant improvement Pat felt from using a machine that moved his leg back and forth. We asked Pat about the value of the in-home healthcare team, and he found it invaluable due to their kindness and motivation, especially from his physical therapist, Caitlin, and assistant, Jay. Pat had a post-op visit with his physician’s assistant, who was pleased with his progress.
Pat had MAKO robotic surgery and felt secure being in the hospital rather than a surgical center. Despite being a big Michigan State fan, Pat decided to prioritize the surgery due to unbearable knee pain. She expects to be pain-free while walking and to have increased stability in her knees post-surgery. Pat expressed appreciation for the positive and welcoming attitude of the healthcare professionals she’s been working with. Both Pat and we feel blessed and are sharing our positive experiences with in-home healthcare.
We appreciated the belief in our mission of helping people heal and guiding them towards a peaceful journey. We emphasized the importance of providing peace and confidence throughout the process, not just at the end result. Our experience in sales has taught us the significance of follow-up and providing answers to people’s concerns. We expressed gratitude for the support and caring nature of the company we work for and the joy of helping people achieve their goals. Building meaningful connections and friendships along the way is an added bonus. In terms of knee surgery, we highlighted the effectiveness of the X10 machine in facilitating faster and better recovery. The convenience of doing exercises at home and witnessing positive results contributes to overcoming the fear of the unknown. Taking care of our bodies is crucial to enjoying life without pain. We acknowledged the challenges of the process but emphasized the value of seeing results and gaining confidence throughout.
Looking at our own progress, we shared that despite some swelling and pain, we can now walk without a crutch or walker. Comparing our replaced knee to the other one, which has bone-on-bone condition, we realized that the surgery and therapy were worthwhile. We expressed gratitude to the hosts for their support and discussed the importance of staying committed to exercises and using the X10 machine to avoid further surgery. We acknowledged that physical therapy can be challenging and easy to quit but emphasized the motivation gained from seeing results. The X10 machine played a significant role in displaying progress, and we expressed determination to continue outpatient physical therapy to reach our goal.
We thanked Pat for sharing his success story and his positive attitude throughout his recovery. Going through surgery can be traumatic, but having expectations and knowing what to anticipate can alleviate anxiety. With our second knee surgery approaching, we expressed confidence that it will go smoother due to our previous experience and desired outcome. We praised the X10 machine as a helpful tool for gradual and convenient recovery, unlike some physical therapists who might be painful and aggressive. We expressed hope for the wider adoption of the X10 machine and its prescription by doctors due to its numerous benefits. We wished Pat nothing but happiness and looked forward to a future meeting. In conclusion, we expressed gratitude to the listeners and hoped to inspire them to make choices leading to vibrant health, peace, and freedom to move and dance through life.
