LAPD – Back on the Job After A Long Knee Recovery
An interview with Sergio about knee surgery recovery using the X10. As published on The Bee’s Knees Podcast.
As you will hear in the interview, Sergio has had many knee surgeries in his life – all stemming from a football injury when he was young. His career as an LAPD officer was in jeopardy after two years of inability to work. Now that Sergio knows that his return to work in June 2023 is a certainty, he sat down with us to discuss the many steps along the way to his knee surgery recovery.
This is one of a series of interviews with knee patients, many of whom have had significant challenges to their ultimate recovery. If you or someone you know would like to discuss their recovery, have them email us at thebeeskneespodcast@gmail.com.
Sergio’s Story
Sergio explains in this 40-minute podcast episode what the challenges were and how the X10 solved the problems. A great listen for anyone facing a difficult knee surgery recovery.
For Sergio, this was a two-year challenge. A former college athlete (football) at a D1 School he experienced a torn ACL. At the time the solution was a six-month cast. Not so much fun for an 18-year-old. Then back in 2017, “while chasing a guy with a gun,” he tore his ACL and MCL. This led to plenty of issues for the next five years, a total knee replacement, a true battle with recovery including severe and painful tendonitis, and finally a TKA. Eventually, the X10 Knee Recovery System™ helped “bring him home.”
If you are facing MCL, ACL surgery or Total Knee Replacement, this is a good listen.
Now in its fourth year, you can listen to the Bee’s Knees Podcast on any and all podcast platforms.
Our big thanks to Sergio for granting us this interview.
