Defensive Tackle Knee Recovery (A Senior Year Saved)
by Mary Elliott (The Bee’s Knees Podcast)
In this episode, Robi Stuart, a Division I football player shares his journey of using the X10 to recover from a knee injury. Robi’s previous rehab methods weren’t effective: after many months of frustrating rehab, he found the X10 improved his range of motion and strength. With consistent use, Robi regained full knee extension and returned to playing football without issues. He encourages others to be proactive in their recovery and stay positive. Toward the end of the interview, I commend Robi on his determination and passion for football and future career goals.

Robi Stuart shares his journey of facing challenges with inconsistent communication between multiple athletic trainers during his recovery process.
After reaching the nine-month mark and still not feeling ready to perform, Robi took matters into his own hands and did his own research. He discovered that his current rehabilitation methods were ineffective and needed a better approach.
Defensive Tackle Knee Recovery (A Senior Year Saved)
Robi experimented with various exercises, such as walking backward on a treadmill, but noticed that his unaffected leg was getting stronger while his injured leg was not. Through studying his own movements and analyzing videos of himself, Robi realized that he needed a different solution for his recovery.
He and his mother discovered the X10, which emphasizes pain-free range of motion and longer sessions of extension work. They decided to give it a try and had a conversation with the head therapist who believed it could help Ravi. The machine was delivered to his apartment, allowing for convenient at-home therapy
Using the X10 machine, Robi found the process to be different and more comfortable compared to his previous experiences. It helped with range-of-motion and allowed him to strengthen throughout that range. Robi communicated to his athletic trainers that he preferred the gradual stretching process of the machine over manual knee manipulation, as it was more effective for him.
Robi shares how with time and consistency, he was able to gradually increase his range of motion. Eventually, he regained full extension in his knee and was able to return to playing football without any issues during training camp. He advises others to be actively involved in their own recovery, ask questions, and think outside the box.
Robi emphasizes the importance of staying present, taking action, and having a positive mindset throughout the healing process.
