Knee Manipulation Under Anesthesia

If lack of bending is a problem after knee surgery most orthopedic surgeons will recommend a Manipulation Under Anesthesia. The procedure takes approximately 10 minutes and is performed in a hospital or surgical center. General anesthesia is administered. An orthopedic surgeon then bends and flexes the knee to tear through scar tissue that has formed in the knee.
