I was born in California and grew up in Massachusetts until finally moving to my birth state at the age of 53. Nine years ago, I relocated from there to affordable Tennessee, where I live as I write about my recent X10 experience. A Boston College alum, I used the insights gained from my psych degree in many corporate settings. Before moving to Tennessee, I was a Gaming Regulator for a Native American tribal gaming enterprise in California. Now retired, I enjoy the rural mountain life in beautiful Appalachia and feel honored to live in an area whose rich history includes the success of President Roosevelt's local program of subsistence homesteading implemented in the 1930s under the New Deal...The Cumberland Homesteads.
