A pair of new running shoes, a freak indoor fall and there I was with a fractured patella. After surgery and 22 P.T. appointments I was stuck with poor range of motion and bleak prospects. I went to the internet to find a solution.
Kathy Mathews-Plunkett Kathy grew up in Michigan, but moved to Florida in 1985 when her two children were young. Kathy’s career, spanning 45 years, includes a vast array of experience in business entities that include management, marketing, home design, fitness, physical therapy and skincare. She recently retired, having just closed her home staging business since her knee fracture in July 2017. Since she was a teenager, Kathy has always believed that fitness and eating right makes a difference in one’s health. Moderation is the key. It makes for a happier and functional life. A belief that came in handy when inflammation needed to be kept in check during her post surgery recovery. Kathy’s formal education includes a degree in Sports Medicine & Rehabilitation. She’s a Certified Fitness Professional with the American College of Sports Medicine. She is a licensed esthetician in Florida. She is also certified in Home Staging & Design. She is a renaissance woman: too much to learn in this life to do one thing. Kathy and her husband, Mike, married in 2016, having met in 2010. Their blended family includes 5 adult children (K’s 2 and M’s 3 - all married), 7 grandchildren and even 8 grand dogs. Feeling blessed living on the bay in Sarasota, Florida; they enjoy time with family and friends; as well as traveling, golf, and enjoying the arts.
